Periodicidade da revista:
Até o ano de 2024, a Cognitio Juris manteve periodicidade semestral.
A partir de 2025, passou a adotar o modelo de publicação em fluxo contínuo, no qual os artigos são publicados imediatamente após a conclusão do processo editorial e aprovação final.
Esse formato acelera a comunicação científica, garante atualização permanente do conteúdo e permite que cada artigo aprovado receba registro individualizado em bases científicas de indexação.
Acesso ao conteúdo e custo da publicação:
A Revista Cognitio Juris adota o princípio de que o conhecimento científico deve ser livre e acessível a todos. Assim, todo o conteúdo é de acesso aberto e gratuito, sem custos para leitores, instituições ou bibliotecas, em conformidade com as boas práticas de Open Access e com a Declaração de Budapeste (2002).
Os leitores podem:
- Ler, baixar, copiar, distribuir, imprimir, pesquisar e compartilhar os artigos livremente;
- Utilizar o conteúdo para fins acadêmicos, científicos ou educacionais;
- Fazer uso dos textos completos como dados para softwares de análise, indexação e mineração científica.
Todos os artigos são publicados sob a Licença Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0), permitindo reutilização, remixagem e criação de obras derivadas, inclusive para fins comerciais, desde que seja dada atribuição adequada ao autor original e a nova obra seja licenciada sob os mesmos termos.
Para assegurar a sustentabilidade e a continuidade das publicações, é cobrada uma taxa de publicação (APC – Article Processing Charge) após a aprovação do artigo:
-> Para publicar um artigo somente na revista, o valor é R$197,00 (cento e noventa e sete reais).
-> Para publicar um artigo somente como capítulo de livro (o livro será publicado pela Editora Norat, em formato físico e também digital), o valor é R$197,00 (cento e noventa e sete reais).
-> Para publicar um artigo na revista científica e também como capítulo de livro científico, o valor é R$350,00 (trezentos e cinquenta reais).
Os artigos publicados na Revista Cognitio Juris são disponibilizados de maneira virtual, com acesso totalmente gratuito.
A revista não proíbe o acesso ao conteúdo virtual, nem envia material impresso ou por e-mail.
Normas de Submissão:
1. A Revista Cognitio Juris recebe artigos de caráter científico em todos os ramos das Ciências Jurídicas, além das Ciências Humanas, Sociais Aplicadas, Linguística, Letras, Artes e da Terra.
2. Somente serão aceitos artigos inéditos.
3. O artigo deverá ter um mínimo de 10 (dez) páginas, escrito nos idiomas aceitos (Português, Alemão, Espanhol, Francês ou Inglês), em fonte Arial ou Times New Roman, tamanho 12, espaçamento 1,5 para o texto e 1,0 para citações recuadas, e ser enviado em qualquer dos seguintes formatos: “.doc”, “.docx” ou “.odt” (Não é aceito arquivo no formato .PDF).
4. O artigo deverá conter apenas texto; não deve, por conseguinte, apresentar imagens. Caso o artigo seja enviado com alguma imagem, e caso seja aprovado, o artigo será publicado sem a(s) imagem(ns). Imagens somente podem ser publicadas no livro científico.
5. O artigo de autoria múltipla deverá ser enviado com os dados (nome completo; país de origem; e-mail; currículo abreviado) sobre cada um dos autores.
6. O artigo deverá apresentar a seguinte estrutura:
I Título;
II Autor(es), com currículo resumido em nota de rodapé;
III Resumo de até 500 palavras;
IV Palavras-chave (de 3 a 5 palavras-chave);
V Tradução do resumo (abstract) e das palavras-chave (keywords) para o idioma inglês;
VI Texto do artigo;
VII Referências bibliográficas (no final do texto e em ordem alfabética. A elaboração das referências bibliográficas deve ser feita de acordo com a ABNT).
7. O(s) autor(es) não receberá qualquer remuneração pela cessão e publicação do(s) artigo(s).
Sobre a Revista:
A Revista Cognitio Juris é uma publicação científica multidisciplinar, sem fins lucrativos, com periodicidade semestral. A Revista publica artigos de todas as áreas do conhecimento científico, que apresentem conteúdo que prime pela apresentação de um estudo completo e didático dos assuntos abordados em cada matéria.
Os Membros do Conselho Editorial da Revista Cognitio Juris foram judiciosamente selecionados, de acordo com a experiência profissional de cada um em suas respectivas áreas: são mestres, doutores, docentes de diversas universidades e profissionais de perfil equiparável, de forma que, essencialmente, cumprem os requisitos para engrandecer, com excelência, a produção científica.
Avaliação e Revisão dos Artigos – double-blind peer review (duplo cego):
Os artigos serão avaliados em duas etapas: Na primeira etapa, os artigos serão meticulosamente avaliados pelo editor da revista, que observará se todas as exigências técnicas de submissão, quanto a forma do artigo, foram observados pelo(s) autor(es).
Se for aprovado, o artigo será submetido à segunda etapa da avaliação, que será a análise científica em revisão por pares anônima, pelos Membros do Conselho Científico e Editorial, do texto do artigo que também estará anônimo, ou seja inidentificado (sem qualquer tipo de identificação da autoria do artigo).
A aprovação ou reprovação do artigo caberá exclusivamente aos avaliadores. Ressalte-se que no processo de avaliação, a Cognitio Juris emprega a metodologia double-blind peer review (duplo cego), ou seja, durante todo o processo editorial, as identificações dos membros avaliadores e também dos autores dos artigos são mantidas em sigilo.
O texto de cada artigo submetido é avaliado sem qualquer tipo de identificação da autoria.
Detecção de Plágio:
Todos os artigos submetidos à Cognitio Juris passam por ferramentas automáticas de detecção de plágio e de escrita assistida por inteligência artificial, além de verificações manuais.
Caso seja identificada:
- Reprodução indevida de conteúdo (plágio total ou parcial),
- Tradução não autorizada,
- Uso indevido de textos gerados por IA sem declaração,
o artigo será rejeitado ou removido do portal, e medidas legais poderão ser tomadas, conforme a Lei nº 9.610/98 e as diretrizes internacionais de publicação ética.
Política de Licenciamento da Revista:
A Cognitio Juris utiliza a licença CC BY-SA 4.0, esta licença permite que outros remixem, adaptem e criem a partir do seu trabalho, mesmo para fins comerciais, desde que lhe atribuam crédito e licenciem suas novas criações sob os mesmos termos. Assim sendo, todos os artigos publicados são de acesso totalmente livre e imediato, e qualquer usuário pode livremente ler, baixar, copiar, distribuir, imprimir, pesquisar ou vincular os textos completos dos artigos; bem como rastreia-los para indexação, serem utilizados como dados para software ou usados para qualquer outro propósito legal, para tanto, deve ser dado o crédito apropriado, nos termos da licença CC BY-SA 4.0.
Direitos Autorais:
Ao enviar artigo(s) à Revista Cognitio Juris, o(s) autor(es) declara(m) ser(em) titular(es) dos direitos autorais do(s) artigo(s) submetido(s) à publicação, de acordo com a Lei nº 9.610/98.
Os autores continuam com todos os direitos integrais sobre seus respectivos textos; concordam em publicar sob os termos da Política de Licenciamento da Revista Cognitio Juris (CC BY-SA 4.0); e autoriza(m) que o(s) referido(s) artigo(s) seja(m) publicado(s) de forma gratuita (sem ônus) pela Revista Cognitio Juris, em qualquer meio e forma, sem qualquer limitação quanto ao prazo de disponibilização, nem de qualquer outro tipo.
A Revista Cognitio Juris fica autorizada, também, a modificar e adequar o texto do(s) artigo(s) a seus formatos de publicação e, caso necessário, efetuar alterações de caráter ortográfico, normativo e gramatical, para garantir o respeito da norma culta da língua. Após o artigo ser aceito e houver o pagamento pela publicação, o autor pode solicitar o envio de uma carta de aceite. Após a publicação da revista com o artigo, o autor pode solicitar o envio de declaração de publicação.

Magazine frequency:
Until 2024, Cognitio Juris maintained a semi-annual publication schedule.
From 2025 onwards, it adopted a continuous publication model, in which articles are published immediately after the editorial process is completed and final approval is received.
This format accelerates scientific communication, ensures continuous content updates, and allows each approved article to receive individual registration in scientific indexing databases.
Access to content and cost of publication:
The Cognitio Juris Journal adopts the principle that scientific knowledge should be free and accessible to all . Therefore, all content is open access and free of charge , without costs for readers, institutions, or libraries, in accordance with Open Access best practices and the Budapest Declaration (2002) .
Readers can:
- Read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and share the articles freely;
- Use the content for academic, scientific, or educational purposes;
- To utilize full texts as data for analysis, indexing, and scientific data mining software.
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0) , allowing reuse, remixing, and creation of derivative works , including for commercial purposes, provided that proper attribution is given to the original author and the new work is licensed under the same terms.
To ensure the sustainability and continuity of publications, a publication fee (APC – Article Processing Charge) is charged after article approval:
-> To publish an article only in the journal, the cost is R$197.00 (one hundred and ninety-seven reais).
-> To publish an article solely as a book chapter (the book will be published by Editora Norat, in both physical and digital formats), the cost is R$197.00 (one hundred and ninety-seven reais).
-> To publish an article in a scientific journal, as well as a chapter in a scientific book, the cost is R$350.00 (three hundred and fifty reais).
The articles published in the Cognitio Juris Journal are available online, with completely free access.
The magazine does not prohibit access to online content, nor does it send printed material or material via email.
Submission Guidelines:
1. The Cognitio Juris Journal accepts scientific articles in all branches of Legal Sciences, as well as Humanities, Applied Social Sciences, Linguistics, Literature, Arts, and Earth Sciences.
2. Only original, unpublished articles will be accepted.
3. The article must have a minimum of 10 (ten) pages, written in the accepted languages (Portuguese, German, Spanish, French or English), in Arial or Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 spacing for the text and 1.0 for indented quotations, and be submitted in any of the following formats: “.doc”, “.docx” or “.odt” (PDF format is not accepted).
4. The article should contain only text; therefore, it should not include images. If the article is submitted with any images, and if it is approved, the article will be published without the image(s). Images may only be published in scientific books.
5. The multi-authored article must be submitted with the following information ( full name; country of origin; email; abbreviated curriculum vitae ) for each of the authors.
6. The article should have the following structure:
Title I;
II Author(s), with a brief curriculum vitae in a footnote;
III. Abstract of up to 500 words;
IV. Keywords (3 to 5 keywords);
V Translation of the abstract and keywords into English;
VI. Article text;
VII. Bibliographic References (at the end of the text and in alphabetical order. Bibliographic references must be compiled in accordance with ABNT standards).
7. The author(s) will not receive any remuneration for the assignment and publication of the article(s).
About the Magazine:
Cognitio Juris Journal is a multidisciplinary, non-profit scientific publication, published biannually. The journal publishes articles from all areas of scientific knowledge, presenting content that prioritizes a complete and didactic study of the subjects covered in each article.
The members of the Editorial Board of the Cognitio Juris Journal were judiciously selected, according to the professional experience of each in their respective areas: they are masters, doctors, professors from various universities and professionals of comparable profile, so that, essentially, they meet the requirements to enhance, with excellence, scientific production.
Evaluation and Review of Articles – double-blind peer review :
The articles will be evaluated in two stages: In the first stage, the articles will be meticulously evaluated by the journal editor, who will check if all the technical submission requirements, regarding the article format, have been met by the author(s).
If approved, the article will be submitted to the second stage of evaluation, which will be a scientific analysis through anonymous peer review by the Members of the Scientific and Editorial Board. The text of the article will also be anonymous, that is, unidentified (without any type of identification of the authorship of the article).
The approval or rejection of the article will be the sole responsibility of the reviewers. It should be noted that in the evaluation process, Cognitio Juris employs the double-blind peer review methodology , meaning that throughout the editorial process, the identities of the reviewers and the authors of the articles are kept confidential.
The text of each submitted article is evaluated without any identification of the author.
Plagiarism Detection:
All articles submitted to Cognitio Juris undergo automated plagiarism detection tools and AI-assisted writing, in addition to manual checks.
If identified:
- Improper reproduction of content (total or partial plagiarism).
- Unauthorized translation.
- Misuse of AI-generated text without declaration.
The article will be rejected or removed from the portal, and legal action may be taken, in accordance with Law No. 9.610/98 and international guidelines for ethical publication.
Journal Licensing Policy:
Cognitio Juris uses the CC BY-SA 4.0 license . This license allows others to remix, adapt, and build upon your work, even for commercial purposes, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the same terms. Therefore, all published articles are completely free and immediately accessible, and any user may freely read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles; as well as track them for indexing, use them as data for software, or use them for any other legal purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given, in accordance with the CC BY-SA 4.0 license .

By submitting article(s) to the Cognitio Juris Journal, the author(s) declare(s) to be/are the holder(s) of the copyright of the article(s) submitted for publication, in accordance with Law No. 9.610/98.
The authors retain full rights to their respective texts; agree to publish under the terms of the Cognitio Juris Journal Licensing Policy ( CC BY-SA 4.0 ); and authorize(s) the aforementioned article(s) to be published free of charge by the Cognitio Juris Journal, in any medium and form, without any limitation as to the availability period, or of any other kind.

Letter of Acceptance and Publication Statement:
After the article is accepted and payment for publication is received, the author can request an acceptance letter. After the journal publishes the article, the author can request a publication certificate.
