SOBRE A REVISTA

1. INTROITO

A Revista Cognitio Juris é uma publicação científica de caráter interdisciplinar, sem fins lucrativos, vinculada à Editora Norat, com o objetivo de promover a difusão e o desenvolvimento do conhecimento científico nos diversos ramos das Ciências Jurídicas, bem como nas áreas Humanas, Sociais Aplicadas, Linguística, Letras, Artes e da Terra.

O periódico adota uma política de ciência aberta, buscando garantir transparência, integridade, diversidade e impacto social na disseminação do conhecimento. Seu propósito é fortalecer a comunicação científica, apoiar pesquisas originais de alta relevância acadêmica e prática, e incentivar a reflexão crítica e interdisciplinar sobre os desafios contemporâneos.

A essência da Cognitio Juris reside na convicção de que a produção e a circulação do conhecimento jurídico e científico são instrumentos fundamentais para a construção da justiça social, do progresso humano e do fortalecimento democrático.

2. OBJETIVOS E ESCOPO

A Cognitio Juris tem por missão:

Difundir pesquisas inéditas e de qualidade em Ciências Jurídicas e áreas correlatas;
Fomentar o diálogo interdisciplinar entre o Direito e outros campos do saber;
Contribuir para a formação crítica de pesquisadores, docentes, profissionais e estudantes;
Promover a ética, a responsabilidade e a transparência na comunicação científica;
Estimular a inovação, a equidade e a sustentabilidade na produção acadêmica.

A revista acolhe artigos, ensaios, resenhas e revisões sistemáticas que abordem temas de relevância teórica ou prática nos campos:

Direito (todas as subáreas e especialidades);
Filosofia, Sociologia, Ciência Política, Antropologia e História;
Administração Pública e Ciências Sociais Aplicadas;
Linguística, Letras e Artes;
Meio Ambiente, Território e Sociedade.

Os manuscritos submetidos devem representar contribuições originais, teórica ou empiricamente fundamentadas, escritas com rigor metodológico e clareza argumentativa.

3. PERIODICIDADE E FLUXO DE PUBLICAÇÃO

Até o ano de 2024, a Cognitio Juris manteve periodicidade semestral.
A partir de 2025, passou a adotar o modelo de publicação em fluxo contínuo, no qual os artigos são publicados imediatamente após a conclusão do processo editorial e aprovação final.

Esse formato acelera a comunicação científica, garante atualização permanente do conteúdo e permite que cada artigo aprovado receba registro individualizado em bases científicas de indexação.

4. POLÍTICA DE ACESSO ABERTO

A Revista Cognitio Juris adota o princípio de que o conhecimento científico deve ser livre e acessível a todos. Assim, todo o conteúdo é de acesso aberto e gratuito, sem custos para leitores, instituições ou bibliotecas, em conformidade com as boas práticas de Open Access e com a Declaração de Budapeste (2002).

Os leitores podem:

Ler, baixar, copiar, distribuir, imprimir, pesquisar e compartilhar os artigos livremente;
Utilizar o conteúdo para fins acadêmicos, científicos ou educacionais;
Fazer uso dos textos completos como dados para softwares de análise, indexação e mineração científica.

Todos os artigos são publicados sob a Licença Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0), permitindo reutilização, remixagem e criação de obras derivadas, inclusive para fins comerciais, desde que seja dada atribuição adequada ao autor original e a nova obra seja licenciada sob os mesmos termos.

5. POLÍTICA DE SUBMISSÃO E PUBLICAÇÃO

Para assegurar a sustentabilidade e a continuidade das publicações, é cobrada uma taxa de publicação (APC – Article Processing Charge) após a aprovação do artigo:

Publicação apenas na revista: R$207,00 (duzentos e sete reais)
Publicação como capítulo de livro científico (físico e digital): R$207,00 (duzentos e sete reais)
Publicação simultânea (revista + livro): R$357,00 (trezentos e cinquenta e sete reais)

Esses valores correspondem a custos de editoração, revisão técnica, hospedagem, indexação, design e manutenção do portal eletrônico.

6. IDIOMAS ACEITOS

A Cognitio Juris aceita manuscritos redigidos em Português, Inglês, Espanhol, Francês e Alemão, incentivando o intercâmbio acadêmico internacional e a diversidade linguística.

8. PROCESSO DE AVALIAÇÃO — Double-Blind Peer Review

Os artigos serão avaliados em duas etapas: Na primeira etapa, os artigos serão meticulosamente avaliados pelo editor da revista, que observará se todas as exigências técnicas de submissão, quanto a forma do artigo, foram observados pelo(s) autor(es).

Se for aprovado, o artigo será submetido à segunda etapa da avaliação, que será a análise científica em revisão por pares anônima, pelos Membros do Conselho Científico e Editorial, do texto do artigo que também estará anônimo, ou seja inidentificado (sem qualquer tipo de identificação da autoria do artigo).

A aprovação ou reprovação do artigo caberá exclusivamente aos avaliadores. Ressalte-se que no processo de avaliação, a Cognitio Juris emprega a metodologia double-blind peer review (duplo cego), ou seja, durante todo o processo editorial, as identificações dos membros avaliadores e também dos autores dos artigos são mantidas em sigilo.

O texto de cada artigo submetido é avaliado sem qualquer tipo de identificação da autoria.

9. DETECÇÃO DE PLÁGIO E USO DE IA

Todos os artigos submetidos à Cognitio Juris passam por ferramentas automáticas de detecção de plágio e de escrita assistida por inteligência artificial, além de verificações manuais.

Caso seja identificada:

Reprodução indevida de conteúdo (plágio total ou parcial),
Tradução não autorizada,
Uso indevido de textos gerados por IA sem declaração,

o artigo será rejeitado ou removido do portal, e medidas legais poderão ser tomadas, conforme a Lei nº 9.610/98 e as diretrizes internacionais de publicação ética.

DECLARAÇÃO DE ÉTICA E BOAS PRÁTICAS EDITORIAIS

1. Compromisso Ético da Revista Cognitio Juris

A Revista Cognitio Juris, publicada pela Editora Norat, adota e cumpre os princípios universais da ética na pesquisa e na comunicação científica, conforme estabelecidos pelo Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) e pela Declaração de Princípios sobre Integridade Científica e Boas Práticas na Publicação Acadêmica.

A revista reconhece que a credibilidade da ciência e a confiança pública na produção acadêmica dependem da transparência, responsabilidade, honestidade intelectual, imparcialidade, respeito aos direitos autorais e responsabilidade compartilhada entre autores, revisores, editores e instituições.

Todas as partes envolvidas (autores, revisores, editores e leitores) devem observar as políticas editoriais, os princípios éticos e os regulamentos nacionais e internacionais relativos à integridade científica e à proteção de dados.

2. Princípios Fundamentais

A revista rege-se pelos seguintes princípios de conduta ética:

Integridade científica: toda pesquisa submetida deve apresentar resultados genuínos, obtidos mediante métodos éticos e verificáveis.
Transparência: informações sobre financiamento, conflitos de interesse e participação de terceiros devem ser declaradas.
Originalidade: o manuscrito deve ser inédito e não submetido simultaneamente a outro periódico.
Imparcialidade: decisões editoriais são baseadas exclusivamente em mérito científico, sem discriminação de origem, gênero, crença, etnia ou ideologia.
Responsabilidade compartilhada: autores, revisores e editores têm deveres específicos no processo de publicação.
Correção e retratação: eventuais erros, plágios ou falhas éticas devem ser corrigidos ou retratados de forma pública, conforme normas internacionais.
Acesso aberto e direitos autorais claros: todo o conteúdo é de livre acesso, sob licença CC BY-SA 4.0.

3. Deveres e Responsabilidades

3.1. Dos Autores

Os autores devem:

Submeter trabalhos originais e inéditos, com base em pesquisa própria;
Declarar eventuais conflitos de interesse financeiros, acadêmicos ou pessoais;
Garantir que todos os coautores tenham contribuído significativamente e consentido com a submissão;
Identificar adequadamente todas as fontes utilizadas e evitar plágio, autoplágio e cópia indevida de ideias;
Cumprir integralmente as normas éticas de pesquisas com seres humanos ou animais, quando aplicável, apresentando o termo de consentimento informado ou aprovação de comitês de ética;
Informar se houve apoio financeiro, patrocínio institucional ou auxílio de agências de fomento;
Responder prontamente às solicitações do editor durante o processo de revisão;
Assumir total responsabilidade pela precisão dos dados e pela veracidade das informações apresentadas.

A submissão de um artigo implica a aceitação integral desta Declaração de Ética.

3.2. Dos Revisores (Pareceristas)

Os revisores são selecionados com base em sua competência técnica e reputação acadêmica. Devem:

Manter confidencialidade total sobre os manuscritos avaliados;
Emitir pareceres imparciais, construtivos e fundamentados, dentro do prazo estabelecido;
Comunicar ao editor se perceber plágio, conflito de interesse, duplicidade ou erro metodológico grave;
Abster-se de avaliar manuscritos quando houver interesse pessoal, financeiro, institucional ou de concorrência;
Não utilizar, divulgar ou citar informações obtidas no processo de revisão sem autorização expressa do autor e do editor.

3.3. Dos Editores e Conselho Editorial

O editor e o conselho têm a responsabilidade de:

Decidir com imparcialidade e independência sobre a aceitação, revisão ou rejeição dos manuscritos;
Assegurar que o processo de revisão por pares seja ético, anônimo e transparente;
Evitar qualquer conflito de interesse pessoal, institucional ou financeiro;
Garantir que decisões editoriais se baseiem em mérito científico e relevância temática;
Atuar imediatamente em casos de má conduta, plágio, manipulação de dados ou submissão duplicada;
Cooperar com instituições e agências quando houver denúncias de fraude científica;
Publicar retratações, erratas ou notas de esclarecimento sempre que necessário para manter a integridade da literatura científica;
Zelar pela proteção de dados pessoais e sensíveis em conformidade com a LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Lei nº 13.709/2018) e com o Regulamento Europeu GDPR.

4. Políticas Específicas de Ética e Conduta Editorial

4.1. Política de Plágio, Autoplágio e Uso Indevido de Textos

A Revista Cognitio Juris adota rigorosa política antiplágio, com dupla verificação (automática e manual) antes da revisão por pares.

São consideradas condutas impróprias:

Cópia literal ou substancial de textos de outros autores sem citação adequada;
Parafraseamento excessivo ou não reconhecido;
Reprodução de imagens, tabelas ou gráficos sem autorização;
Reapresentação de resultados já publicados como novos;
Submissão do mesmo texto (ou parte relevante dele) a mais de um periódico.

Quando identificadas:

Antes da publicação: o manuscrito é rejeitado e o autor notificado;
Após a publicação: o artigo é retratado publicamente e removido da edição on-line, com nota explicativa conforme diretrizes do COPE Retraction Guidelines (2019) e da Elsevier Article Withdrawal Policy.

4.2. Política sobre Uso de Inteligência Artificial e Ferramentas Automatizadas

A Cognitio Juris segue as diretrizes do Elsevier AI Use Policy (2023), do COPE Discussion Document on AI Tools (2023) e do ICMJE Recommendations.

Assim:

O uso de ferramentas de inteligência artificial generativa (como ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, etc.) deve ser explicitamente declarado na seção “Metodologia” ou em nota de rodapé, indicando como e para que foi empregada.
IA não pode ser listada como coautora, pois não possui responsabilidade legal nem capacidade ética.
O uso de IA é aceitável apenas como apoio técnico, nunca como substituto da autoria humana.
É vedada a geração automática de textos, imagens ou dados científicos falsos.
O não cumprimento dessa política configura má conduta científica, sujeita à retratação.

4.3. Política de Conflitos de Interesse

A revista exige declaração explícita de potenciais conflitos de interesse por parte de autores, revisores e editores.

Esses conflitos podem incluir:

Relações financeiras, comerciais, profissionais ou familiares;
Vínculos institucionais que possam influenciar o julgamento científico;
Interesses políticos, ideológicos ou religiosos relacionados ao tema do artigo.

A ausência de declaração será interpretada como declaração de inexistência de conflitos.

Quando um conflito for identificado após a publicação, a revista publicará uma nota de correção ou, em casos graves, poderá retractar o artigo.

4.4. Política de Retratação, Correção e Expressões de Preocupação

Em conformidade com o COPE Retraction Guidelines (2019) e o SciELO Criteria for Journals (2023), a revista mantém política clara para lidar com erros e más condutas após a publicação:

Correção (Erratum ou Corrigendum): usada para corrigir pequenos erros que não alteram os resultados ou conclusões.
Expressão de Preocupação: publicada quando há suspeita de má conduta que ainda está sob investigação.
Retratação: emitida quando há confirmação de plágio, falsificação, manipulação de dados ou violações éticas graves.
Remoção definitiva: aplicada apenas em casos extremos que envolvam risco à privacidade, ofensa, ou violação legal comprovada.

Todas as correções e retratações são vinculadas ao documento original, de modo transparente e permanente.

POLÍTICAS DE PESQUISA, DIREITOS, RETRATAÇÃO, PRESERVAÇÃO E CONTATOS

1. Pesquisas Envolvendo Seres Humanos e Animais

A Revista Cognitio Juris adota integralmente as normas éticas nacionais e internacionais aplicáveis à pesquisa científica, especialmente a Declaração de Helsinque (2013), o Código de Nuremberg (1947), as Diretrizes do Conselho Nacional de Saúde (Resolução CNS nº 466/12 e nº 510/16) e os princípios do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP/CONEP).

Pesquisas com seres humanos somente serão aceitas se acompanhadas de declaração formal indicando que:

Foram submetidas e aprovadas por um Comitê de Ética reconhecido;
Obtiveram consentimento livre e esclarecido de todos os participantes;
Asseguraram anonimato e confidencialidade das informações pessoais.

Pesquisas envolvendo animais devem comprovar:

Aprovação por Comitê de Ética em Uso de Animais (CEUA);
Adoção de protocolos de bem-estar e cuidados adequados;
Observância das normas da Diretriz Brasileira para o Cuidado e a Utilização de Animais para Fins Científicos e Didáticos (DBCA).

A omissão de qualquer desses elementos pode resultar na rejeição ou retratação do artigo, conforme os princípios da World Health Organization (WHO) e do COPE.

2. Procedimentos em Casos de Má Conduta Científica

A Cognitio Juris segue rigorosamente as orientações do Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) para investigação e resolução de casos de má conduta, incluindo:

Plágio e autoplágio;
Falsificação e fabricação de dados;
Submissão duplicada ou simultânea;
Manipulação de imagens e resultados;
Apropriação indevida de autoria ou contribuição;
Violação de confidencialidade ou revisão enviesada;
Uso não declarado de ferramentas de IA generativa;
Pesquisa sem consentimento ou aprovação ética.

Quando qualquer suspeita ou denúncia é recebida, o processo segue as seguintes etapas:

Análise preliminar confidencial pelo Editor Responsável e Conselho Editorial;
Solicitação de explicação formal ao(s) autor(es) envolvido(s);
Consulta a especialistas, revisores ou instituições de origem, se necessário;
Decisão fundamentada, podendo resultar em:
- Rejeição do manuscrito;
- Retratação pública do artigo;
- Notificação à instituição do autor ou órgão de fomento;
- Bloqueio de futuras submissões por prazo determinado.

Todas as etapas são conduzidas com imparcialidade, transparência e respeito ao devido processo ético.
Em situações graves, a revista poderá comunicar o caso ao COPE e a outros periódicos envolvidos.

3. Política de Direitos Autorais e Licenciamento

Licenciamento da Revista:

A Cognitio Juris utiliza a licença CC BY-SA 4.0, esta licença permite que outros remixem, adaptem e criem a partir do seu trabalho, mesmo para fins comerciais, desde que lhe atribuam crédito e licenciem suas novas criações sob os mesmos termos. Assim sendo, todos os artigos publicados são de acesso totalmente livre e imediato, e qualquer usuário pode livremente ler, baixar, copiar, distribuir, imprimir, pesquisar ou vincular os textos completos dos artigos; bem como rastreia-los para indexação, serem utilizados como dados para software ou usados para qualquer outro propósito legal, para tanto, deve ser dado o crédito apropriado, nos termos da licença CC BY-SA 4.0.

A Cognitio Juris é um periódico científico, independente e sem fins lucrativos, mantido pela Editora Norat.
Embora opere em acesso aberto, o periódico aceita apoio financeiro ético por meio de:

Taxas de publicação (APC) destinadas exclusivamente à manutenção técnica da plataforma;
Anúncios automáticos do Google Ads, exibidos em conformidade com o comportamento do leitor e com o Código de Conduta de Publicidade Responsável da UNESCO (2021);
Ausência de patrocínio editorial que possa interferir no conteúdo científico.

A publicidade é claramente identificada e separada do conteúdo científico, sem qualquer influência sobre o processo editorial, decisões de publicação ou avaliação de manuscritos.

6. Política de Transparência e Divulgação de Financiamento

Todos os autores devem informar, no momento da submissão, qualquer apoio financeiro, institucional ou material recebido para a realização da pesquisa.
Essas informações serão publicadas na seção “Agradecimentos e Financiamento” do artigo.

7. Canais de Comunicação, Contato Ético e Denúncias

A Cognitio Juris dispõe de um canal ético institucional, destinado à recepção de denúncias de plágio, falsificação, conflito de interesse, quebra de confidencialidade ou má conduta científica.

Todas as comunicações são tratadas de forma confidencial, imparcial e documentada, sendo analisadas pelo Editor Responsável e pelo Conselho Científico e Editorial.

ABOUT THE MAGAZINE

1. INTRODUCTION

Cognitio Juris Journal is a non-profit, interdisciplinary scientific publication affiliated with Editora Norat, with the aim of promoting the dissemination and development of scientific knowledge in the various branches of Legal Sciences, as well as in the areas of Humanities, Applied Social Sciences, Linguistics, Literature, Arts and Earth Sciences.

The journal adopts an open science policy, seeking to ensure transparency, integrity, diversity, and social impact in the dissemination of knowledge. Its purpose is to strengthen scientific communication, support original research of high academic and practical relevance, and encourage critical and interdisciplinary reflection on contemporary challenges.

The essence of Cognitio Juris lies in the conviction that the production and circulation of legal and scientific knowledge are fundamental instruments for building social justice, human progress, and strengthening democracy.

2. OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE

Cognitio Juris’ mission is:

To disseminate original and high-quality research in Legal Sciences and related fields;
To foster interdisciplinary dialogue between Law and other fields of knowledge;
To contribute to the critical training of researchers, teachers, professionals, and students;
To promote ethics, responsibility, and transparency in scientific communication;
To encourage innovation, equity, and sustainability in academic production.

The journal welcomes articles, essays, reviews, and systematic reviews that address topics of theoretical or practical relevance in the following fields:

Law (all subfields and specialties);
Philosophy, Sociology, Political Science, Anthropology, and History;
Public Administration and Applied Social Sciences;
Linguistics, Literature and Arts;
Environment, Territory and Society.

Submitted manuscripts must represent original contributions, theoretically or empirically grounded , written with methodological rigor and argumentative clarity.

3. FREQUENCY AND PUBLICATION FLOW

Until 2024, Cognitio Juris maintained a semi-annual publication schedule.
From 2025 onwards, it adopted a continuous publication model, in which articles are published immediately after the editorial process is completed and final approval is received.

This format accelerates scientific communication, ensures continuous content updates, and allows each approved article to receive individual registration in scientific indexing databases.

4. Open Access Policy

The Cognitio Juris Journal adopts the principle that scientific knowledge should be free and accessible to all . Therefore, all content is open access and free of charge , without costs for readers, institutions, or libraries, in accordance with Open Access best practices and the Budapest Declaration (2002) .

Readers can:

Read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and share the articles freely;
Use the content for academic, scientific, or educational purposes;
To utilize full texts as data for analysis, indexing, and scientific data mining software.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0) , allowing reuse, remixing, and creation of derivative works , including for commercial purposes, provided that proper attribution is given to the original author and the new work is licensed under the same terms.

5. SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION POLICY

To ensure the sustainability and continuity of publications, a publication fee (APC – Article Processing Charge) is charged after article approval:

Publication only in the magazine: R$ 207.00
Publication as a chapter in a scientific book (physical and digital): R$ 207.00
Simultaneous publication (magazine + book): R$ 357.00

These values correspond to the costs of editing, technical review, hosting, indexing, design, and maintenance of the electronic portal.

6. ACCEPTED LANGUAGES

Cognitio Juris accepts manuscripts written in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and German, encouraging international academic exchange and linguistic diversity.

8. EVALUATION PROCESS — Double-Blind Peer Review

The articles will be evaluated in two stages: In the first stage, the articles will be meticulously evaluated by the journal editor, who will check if all the technical submission requirements, regarding the article format, have been met by the author(s).

If approved, the article will be submitted to the second stage of evaluation, which will be a scientific analysis through anonymous peer review by the Members of the Scientific and Editorial Board. The text of the article will also be anonymous, that is, unidentified (without any type of identification of the authorship of the article).

The approval or rejection of the article will be the sole responsibility of the reviewers. It should be noted that in the evaluation process, Cognitio Juris employs the double-blind peer review methodology , meaning that throughout the editorial process, the identities of the reviewers and the authors of the articles are kept confidential.

The text of each submitted article is evaluated without any identification of the author.-Chief and the Editorial Board, who may approve, request revisions, or reject the manuscript.

9. PLAGIARISM DETECTION AND USE OF AI

All articles submitted to Cognitio Juris undergo automated plagiarism detection tools and AI-assisted writing, in addition to manual checks.

If identified:

Improper reproduction of content (total or partial plagiarism).
Unauthorized translation.
Misuse of AI-generated text without declaration.

The article will be rejected or removed from the portal, and legal action may be taken, in accordance with Law No. 9.610/98 and international guidelines for ethical publication.

1. Ethical Commitment of Cognitio Juris Magazine

The journal Cognitio Juris, published by Editora Norat, adopts and adheres to the universal principles of ethics in research and scientific communication, as established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Declaration of Principles on Scientific Integrity and Good Practices in Academic Publication.

The journal recognizes that the credibility of science and public trust in academic output depend on transparency, accountability, intellectual honesty, impartiality, respect for copyright, and shared responsibility among authors, reviewers, editors, and institutions.

All parties involved (authors, reviewers, editors, and readers) must observe editorial policies, ethical principles, and national and international regulations regarding scientific integrity and data protection.

4.1. Policy on Plagiarism, Self-Plagiarism and Misuse of Texts

The Cognitio Juris Journal adopts a rigorous anti-plagiarism policy, with double verification ( automatic and manual ) before peer review.

The following are considered inappropriate behaviors :

Literal or substantial copying of texts from other authors without proper citation;
Excessive or unrecognized paraphrasing;
Reproduction of images, tables or graphs without authorization;
Re-presentation of previously published results as new;
Submitting the same text (or a relevant part of it) to more than one journal.

When identified:

Before publication: the manuscript is rejected and the author is notified;
After publication: the article is publicly retracted and removed from the online edition, with an explanatory note in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines (2019) and the Elsevier Article Withdrawal Policy .

4.2. Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence and Automated Tools

Cognitio Juris follows the guidelines of the Elsevier AI Use Policy (2023) , the COPE Discussion Document on AI Tools (2023) , and the ICMJE Recommendations .

The use of generative artificial intelligence tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, etc.) must be explicitly stated in the “Methodology” section or in a footnote, indicating how and for what purpose they were used.
AI cannot be listed as a co-author because it lacks legal responsibility and ethical capacity.
The use of AI is acceptable only as technical support , never as a substitute for human authorship.
The automatic generation of false scientific texts, images, or data is prohibited .
Failure to comply with this policy constitutes scientific misconduct , subject to retraction.

4.3. Conflict of Interest Policy

The journal requires authors, reviewers, and editors to explicitly declare any potential conflicts of interest .

These conflicts may include:

Financial, commercial, professional, or family relationships;
Institutional affiliations that may influence scientific judgment;
Political, ideological, or religious interests related to the article’s topic.

The absence of a declaration will be interpreted as a declaration of the non-existence of conflicts .

When a conflict of interest is identified after publication, the journal will publish a correction note or, in serious cases, may retract the article .

4.4. Retraction, Correction and Expressions of Concern Policy

In accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines (2019) and the SciELO Criteria for Journals (2023) , the journal maintains a clear policy for dealing with errors and misconduct after publication:

Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum): used to correct minor errors that do not alter the results or conclusions.
Expression of Concern: published when there is suspicion of misconduct that is still under investigation.
Retraction: issued when plagiarism, forgery, data manipulation, or serious ethical violations are confirmed.
Permanent removal: applied only in extreme cases involving risk to privacy, offense, or proven legal violation.

All corrections and retractions are linked to the original document in a transparent and permanent manner.

The Cognitio Juris Journal fully adopts the national and international ethical standards applicable to scientific research, especially the Declaration of Helsinki (2013) , the Nuremberg Code (1947) , the Guidelines of the National Health Council (CNS Resolution No. 466/12 and No. 510/16) and the principles of the Research Ethics Committee (CEP/CONEP) .

Cognitio Juris strictly follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for investigating and resolving cases of misconduct, including:

Plagiarism and self-plagiarism ;
Falsification and fabrication of data ;
Duplicate or simultaneous submission ;
Image manipulation and results ;
Misappropriation of authorship or contribution ;
Breach of confidentiality or biased review ;
Undeclared use of generative AI tools ;
